Hospitals calm patients with videos, design elements, even fishing – Health Care Communication News

We couldn’t believe what we were seeing when we read about a hospital that uses videos of waves
washing across a beach, the sun setting in the mountains, wildlife, and more, combined with music, to
calm its patients. The only time we’d ever seen videos like this was at the nail salon while getting a
pedicure.

Videos that create tranquility

The Tennessean featured a Q & A with Robby Lee Feldman, president and marketing director of
Tranquility TV, a company that offers a closed-circuit television channel used in hospitals and assisted
living centers.
